Athena’s Book

Athena’s Book follows a return to the northwest coast of Ireland and the weather that gathers around it. A house. A woman returned. A mind trying to arrange what was lost.

The book moves from Ireland to the Pacific Northwest and back into the private country of memory. Love, myth, travel and disappearance are held in a spare field of images.

The Black Valley Poems

The Black Valley Poems gathers work shaped by mountains, roads, rivers, abandoned houses and the western edge. The poems are records of weather, exile and private reckoning.

The dead remain close. Animals appear. Voices come through from somewhere older than speech. The landscape is not a setting. It is the pressure under everything.

Gaeltacht Ghazals

Gaeltacht Ghazals is a book of bastard ghazals from Donegal. Fishing piers, rain, goats, old factories, saints, drink, local figures and bad weather pass through the poems.

The form is loose. Each couplet stands apart yet belongs to the same coast. Love and loss arrive indirectly. So do exile, superstition and the previous life.

Heresies

Heresies is a book of spiritual disobedience. Elegies, invocations, road songs and fragments move through false authority, death, poverty, private revelation and sacred disorder.

The poems are not arguments. They are refusals. Refusals of dead language, false idols, inherited obedience and the small tyrannies of the age.

Love Is An Ancient Disease

Love Is An Ancient Disease gathers early selected poems of exile, motel rooms, skid rows, saints, hustlers, ruined cities and love as a force that wounds and keeps moving.

The book is restless and cinematic. It carries road life, cheap rooms, vanished women, outlaw mysticism and the old trouble of wanting to be saved.
