GAELTACHT GHAZALS

I

The dog chases two oystercatchers
A shark carcass was washed to the shore

I'm fishing for mackerel behind the old factory
Carrying a beaten copy of a book i never understood

There's vernon & the girls on trá na glór
Kathleen's waiting on Donnchadh who won't be coming home

Sara the goat follows two gypsy cobs
Guilty Mc Ginley has himself a snort

We're sitting at Nancy's discussing the dark arts
The day hasn't gone as planned

The rain washes away a decade
And the fog closes the curtains on a previous life
